In South of Africa is the magnificent male amethyst starling, with a unique metallic purple plumage.
In Europe, between November and February, at dusk, groups of starlings, more ordinary than their African cousins, from a few hundred to several tens of thousands of individuals form sheets whose flight seems coordinated.
