The Cat Sabbath is, in folklore and tradition, a nocturnal gathering of neighborhood cats, responding to the Devil’s call for an animal witchcraft ceremony, much like the witches Sabbath. During the ceremony, it was said that witchcats acted, sang and spoke like men, while celebrating their evil master.
